My Contribution - Art

  • Coordinated with other artists on the team to develop a cohesive style for both characters and backgrounds

  • Created backgrounds that would help the characters and UI stand out

 What I Learned

  • Getting artists into Git/Unity makes the game development pipeline way smoother! This was the first semester where BRGD pushed artists to upload their assets to Git/Unity by themselves, and we found that it took off some of the workload from the programmers.

  • Game design needs to be clear from the start. Though players had little trouble figuring out the controls, they weren’t really sure how to play the game. This led to a lot of confusion for the players when they were done playing.
